The successful candidate should have very strong communication, reporting and presentation skills, and strong numerical and analytical skills would be preferred, displaying exceptional attention to detail. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.Administration & SupportPerforms administrative duties for an executive, including presentations, board reports, speeches and minuting of meetings.Coordinate strategic initiatives tracking and reporting as part of Board and OML reporting.Diary coordination and planning of the Executive calendar, as well as daily management of the CEO's diary with the executive personal assistant.Preparation of content, as well as collation of meeting packs.Coordinates resources to gather information and prepare the first draft of various reports.Prepares presentations with little input from seniors.Responsible for ensuring relevant matters are included on board and Exco agendas.Communicating and escalating important issues within the business appropriately.Required to investigate and research various ad-hoc business issues, strategic initiatives and developments.Required to respond timeously and professionally to a variety of ad hoc projects, business issues, client requests and stakeholder requests, etc. that impact across the organisation.Ensures senior is equipped with necessary reports and information to proceed with internal and external meetings.Represents the executive on certain ad hoc projects, meetings and events as required.Relationship buildingBuilds and maintains relationships with executives and senior management, as well as key individuals in a wide range of business units.High level of contact with external parties, stakeholders and clients as required.Prepares reports, presentations, speeches, media pieces, etc. for the CEO.Leads the project management of key events on behalf of the CEO, hosting internal and external guests.Personal EffectivenessAccountable for service delivery through own efforts as well as the influencing of others.Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks, and output quality.Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.Accepts and lives the company values.Minimum Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience requiredPostgraduate Financial or Commercial (or any other relevant) degree.5 years experience in a similar position.Financial industry experience would be preferable.Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent command of the English language, both in communication ability and drafting skills.CompetenciesA self-starter, showing strong action orientation, with excellent organisational, planning and prioritising skills.Assuming responsibility and accountability for the successful completion of tasks and maintaining a high standard of excellence.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Display a strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy in his/her work and be able to perform under pressure.Strong project management skills/ability to see projects completed.Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.Experience in stakeholder management and liaising at a Senior Management level.Solid interpersonal skills, showing an ability to work through influence rather than control; and to be able to interact at all levels and facilitate the delivery of decisions.Strong ability to build and maintain relationships and networks.Ability to work both in a team and independently.Be reliable, have integrity, and display a professional approach.Maintain confidentiality of all information, both from internal and external sources.Business awareness.Information monitoring.Initiating action.Closing Date12 November 2024The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
