Purpose of the RoleProvide technical services, including development of technical outputs, inspections, and management of contractors for clients on an EPCM basis. The role involves office-based work with regular site visits during procurement, installation, and commissioning stages. Additionally, support the Business Development Department with technical expertise.Key Performance AreasProposals / Business DevelopmentTechnical lead in proposal developmentConcept development and feasibility checksTechnical specifications and risk identificationDesign DevelopmentConcept/Basic design developmentReview of technical outputsCompilation and review of enquiry packagesEPCM Project DeliveryManage project sub-packages within budget, time, and quality constraintsOversee site installation and constructionControl package scope and manage changesDepartmental and Company ProcessesEnsure compliance with client and company processesInterface with various functional areas (Design, Procurement, Legal, Finance, SHEQ)Utilize ERP and project management software systemsQualificationsMinimum: National Diploma in EngineeringPreferred: Qualified Engineer Technologist or TechnicianRegistration with ECSA or recognized international bodyProject management courses based on PMBOK principlesExperienceMinimum 10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector, including:5+ years as Project Coordinator or related role3+ years in Design Engineering in the Oil & Gas IndustryPractical site construction experience (advantageous)CompetenciesKnowledgeThorough understanding of PMBOK project management principlesIn-depth knowledge of quality, environmental, and safety management systemsStrong grasp of contract management and requirementsComprehensive understanding of project schedulingFamiliarity with regulatory and safety governanceTechnical competence within the applicable Knowledge AreaSkillsProficient in MS Office, IFS, Primavera, and MS ProjectsStrong technical competence in relevant engineering fieldsExcellent leadership and communication skillsHigh degree of analytical thinkingAdaptability and flexibilityStrong administrative and organizational abilitiesBehaviourHigh degree of integrity and loyaltySelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyEnthusiastic and energetic approach to workStrong accountability and conceptual thinkingTeam player with ability to generate team spiritExcellent stakeholder relationship managementMethodical with strong attention to detailOpen-minded and flexible to client and organizational requirementsEffective conflict management skillsHigh emotional intelligence
