Our client is well established national company looking for a "Jack of all Trades" to join their busy office.This is post involves reception duties, along side office and sales administration for a fixed term contract, so would suit candidates that are available immediately.Overview of the Role: Manage the main switchboard for the business and to welcome and handle all walk-in collecting customers in the Cape Town office. This role will also act as a backup to the customer service department as a whole.Purpose of the Role: Switchboard role Answer all incoming calls and transfer them to the correct person Collecting/Walk-in Customers Welcome the customer and assist with processing the necessary documentation.Assist the customer in any way possible until they are ready to depart.Customer Engagement backup role You will be the most frequent point of contact between a customer and the company and will ensure that orders are promptly and efficiently processed through to fulfillment in accordance with the customer's request Coordinating the activities of all departments involved in the sales order fulfillment process Provide timely and accurate information about the order to the customer and responsible Account Manager Checking stock availability and liaising with supply chain to ensure fulfillment of the order on the customer's required delivery date Creatively identifying possible solutions in the event of insufficient product availability or delays Keeping customers informed of any changes in the timing of their orders due to stock problems Promptly dealing with all enquiries or complaints Ensuring customer quotes are followed up and closed off timeously Analyse stock for the relevant regions and make proposals on safety stock and re-order levels Ensure month-end deadlines are efficiently and promptly met Ensure customer complaints are promptly dealt with Requirements Computer literacy MS Office, specifically Excel Pastel/Sage experience will be an advantage Minimum National Senior Certificate Valid SA driver's license At least 5 years' experience in a similar role Above average Excel experience Possess a natural curiosity to proactively present solutions Previous Pastel/Sage experience advantageous Ability to multitask and work in a highly pressurized environment Highly organised, strong attention to detail, excellent time management Strong communication/people skills Positive attitude & willing to help A passion for customer service Ability to pick up the phone and sell with confidence Comfortable working to deadlines Benefits R25 000 negotiable
