Ocean Freight ControllerOur client, a transport and logistics company, is looking for an Ocean Freight Controller, who will ensure compliance with the country's customs, shipping regulations, quality requirements, and safety procedures. A dynamic and energetic person who can cope under pressure.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with the country's customs, shipping regulations, quality requirements, and safety procedures.Prepare shipping documentation for customs purposes.Execute and organize all activities related to the logistics for customers.Freight Forwarding in respect of specific transport movements.Ensure that all client requirements are met to the service level agreed and proactively communicate any potential issues.Provide quick and responsive service.Build relationships with the upstream and downstream supply chain, external service providers, and clients.Customs clearing.Advantageous AttributesCustomer service orientation – Able to handle a demanding customer environment.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Dynamic self-starter that doesn't need to be told what to do and how to do it.Attention to detail and ability to handle pressure.Ability to communicate with the team and contribute to the overall success of the team.Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment.Desired Experience & QualificationPreferred Diploma/Bachelor's degree in AIR, SEA, and Ocean Freight Handling Logistics or Supply Chain.Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a similar position.Proficiency in CARGOWISE is required.Must have knowledge of INCOTERMS.Experience with container sizes and freight forwarding/clearing space.Package & Remuneration30-35k (Negotiable)
