Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Volunteer to join our team.
The volunteer will support our mission by providing therapeutic services to individuals with physical, mental, and emotional challenges, helping them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and abilities of clients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Therapeutic Interventions:

Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients' physical, cognitive, and social abilities.
Provide training in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
Client Support and Education:

Educate clients and their families about techniques and strategies to improve daily functioning.
Offer guidance and support to caregivers and family members.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Prepare reports on clients' progress and treatment outcomes.
Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, physiotherapists, and social workers.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
Community Outreach:

Assist in organizing and conducting community workshops and educational sessions.
Promote awareness about occupational therapy and its benefits.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience:

Previous experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a volunteer or community setting.
Experience working with diverse populations, including marginalized communities, is a plus.
Skills:
Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
