Our Group Practice at Nurture Alberton in Gauteng is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team. Minimum Salary: R28 569,34 Cost to Company (including benefits) REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING BSc Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy (community year completed) Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner) and Malpractice Insurance Maintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA Bobath / NDT training is beneficial Basic / Intermediate wheelchair training is beneficial Experience in Neurology, Cognitive therapy and Spinal cord injuries Broad experience including orthopaedics, spinal cord injury and neurology Valid drivers license with own transport and be willing to conduct regular home/work site visits Special interest/expertise within neurology KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of the ICF Framework with good written and spoken English language skills Effective interdisciplinary team member Awareness of evidence base for interventions Computer literacy (Beginner/intermediate Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook) Experience coordinating projects, people, or services. Ability to supervise and guide less experienced team members Extensive knowledge regarding clinical practice in physical rehabilitation To foster therapeutic relationships in the inter-disciplinary team by developing joint goals, sharing information, and promoting a collaborative approach to patient and family care and outcomes.
