Role Purpose The Occupational Hygiene Officer (CU) ensures compliance with hygiene standards to minimize potential health risks to employees.
This includes monitoring, managing, and optimizing workplace conditions to safeguard workforce health.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with relevant hygiene standards to mitigate health risks to employees.
Identify and close down operations that pose significant health risks.
Prepare detailed hygiene reports and implement controls to reduce workplace health risks.
Optimize the section's human resources for maximum output.
Foster a safe and healthy environment for employees and contractors.
Requirements Requirements Qualifications Essential : Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa.
Certified as an Occupational Hygiene Technologist by SAIOH.
Desirable : Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa.
Degree in Occupational Health or a related field.
Experience A minimum of 3 years of operational experience in a mining environment.
Other Requirements Valid driver's license.
