Responsibilities: Provide compassionate and high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds in an outpatient setting. Conduct thorough assessments of wounds, including measurement, evaluation of tissue viability, and identification of underlying factors affecting healing. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, utilizing evidence-based wound care modalities and treatment techniques. Perform wound dressings, debridement procedures, and other wound care interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers. Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, self-management strategies, and preventive measures to promote optimal healing and reduce the risk of complications. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Requirements: Registered Nurse qualification with current licensure from the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Prior experience in wound care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates with a strong interest in wound care. Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient cases effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. Benefits: Competitive salary within the range of R25 000 - R30 000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Monday through Friday schedule with no night shifts, and a 4 weekly weekend on call schedule only, offering a healthy work-life balance.
