Job purposeThis role is to own and manage the various monitoring platforms of SevenC. His engineer should take a first pass at resolving / confirming events and problems arising from these platforms and provide recommendations for improvementsDuties and responsibilitiesMonitors Dashboards and monitoring platformsCreation of tickets for events / problems arising from the monitoring platformsFirst pass attempt at resolving events / problems arising out of the monitoring platformsCreation and maintenance of monitoring dashboards as requestedActively seek out opportunities for improvement of the monitoring platformsPerform Daily / Weekly health check as / when requested / requiredDevelop health reports as requested / requiredPerform other related duties as requestedEscalate events / problems to the appropriate team if unable to resolveMaintain configurations of NOC Systems and Tools and ensure standard configurations are maintained with best practices in mindBring up any Critical Issue with NOC Systems and Tools that may cause damage to the Business internally or at customersNote and work on recurring problems, working with or providing solutions to recurring problems with the relevant teams, or independentlyAssist with the creation of automation to solve NOC-related problemsAssist with onboarding of customers to the Monitoring platformsEnsure that best practise is adhered to in terms of the configuration of the monitoring platformEnsure that all customer sites and devices are onboarded and working as expectedCreation of new templates for new devices as / when requiredQualificationsRequirementsWindows Desktop experienceWindows Office experience1+ Year Help desk experience would be beneficial1+ Year of technical support experienceStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong ability to communicateBeneficialCompTIA A+ITIL CertificateExperience with NagiosExperience with ZabbixLinux ExperienceKey Performance AreasNo missed alerts that result in customer outagesHigh rate of problem resolutionLow number of outstanding events as defined by SDMAll customer devices onboarded and collecting dataNo critical alerts violating SLA
