You will play a crucial role in facilitating the transportation of goods in various sectors and industries within this brokerage company's logistics and supply chain operations.To succeed in this role, you should understand and have experience in transport, logistics and supply chain controlling, as well as experience in coordinating logistics activities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders are also key for this position.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and monitor transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners to optimize transportation processes and resolve issues.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and customs requirements.Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.Prepare and present reports on logistics operations to management.Address and resolve issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies promptly and efficiently.Identify and engage transportation and logistics service providers to fulfill client requirements.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their transportation and logistics needs.RequirementsTertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field will be highly desirable.Min 1-year proven work experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.In-depth understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.Strong organizational skills & problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Must be willing to work night and weekend shifts as needed.Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 / month basic salary, dependant on skills and experience.HOW TO APPLYEnsure you meet all the requirements.Complete all the requested information below.Remember to attach your CV.Once your application has been made, you will receive a generic e-mail to confirm the receipt of your application.Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.Should you not be contacted by a consultant within 2 weeks, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
