Job ResponsibilitiesDeveloping new products for existing and new ranges for the Long-Life division.Upgrading existing products.Conducting factory trials.Identifying appropriate raw materials and suppliers.Liaising effectively with our customers and suppliers.Communicating effectively with the Technical and Production Departments.A preparedness to work extended hours and travel when necessary will be essential.Desired Experience & QualificationOur Ideal Candidate Must HaveA tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.Ideally 5 - 7 years of experience in product development of food.An assertive, team-spirited, proactive, and hands-on approach.Very good communication skills.Excellent planning and organizing skills.Knowledge of competitive marketplace information and trends in the food industry.Understanding of thermal processing.Understanding of Food Safety Management and HACCP principles.A passion for food.Experience in canning will be an advantage.A good track record in the industry.Other Attributes Would IncludeExcellent presentation skills.Good administration skills.Good structural approach to problem-solving.A dynamic person who will make a difference.
