This role will seek out new opportunities to grow and develop the brand and increase network size in the Northern Cape cluster, to acquire new fuel sites and other business opportunities for the group of companies within the cluster.
Key Responsibilities: This position is driven by sales, marketing and new business ventures.Compiles a territory business plan and call agenda.Scans the Group territory to identify potential new locations for new retail service stations, truck stops or commercial installations.Identify potential sites within the region, including retail and commercial.Call on potential owners, developers, or managers for potential business opportunities.Compile business proposals, compiling a detailed business plan per potential site.Conduct market research in requirements within the region.Monitors and benchmarks external trends, including competitors, regulations and fuel industry trends.Monitors and regularly conducts field visits and research to establish competitor activity in the area.Understanding the competitors in the market, to ensure we remain relevant and ahead of the game.Devises and develops site and area specific strategies to counter any aggressive competitor activity.Report to CEO on competitors and opportunities in the network.Compile report with supporting photographic evidence on findings.
Requirements SA Oil industry experience (Non-negotiable).Property and or retail experience favourable.Able to travel on a regular basis, own vehicle required.Market research experience.3 to 5 years previous experience in a similar role.Strong communication skills and able to build rapport with all internal and external stakeholders.Well articulate, a good listener and a strong communicator.Good time management skills.Ability to think and act strategically in the best interests of the company.Well-presentedAble to work independently and self-disciplined, as the role is often done remotely or whilst travelling.Proficient in English and/or Afrikaans
