Qualifications/Certifications/ExperienceIT Diploma/Degree or relevant IT related qualificationHuawei HCIE Certification (Essential)Fortinet/Cisco/HP Experience VOIP (Advantageous)Responsibilities:Financial PerspectiveMaintain acceptable billability ratioManage tools of tradeResponsible application and maintenance of assigned equipment (Cell phones, laptops, or other relevant tools etc.)Manage operational expensesReduce operational expensesManage and control stockReceives logistical components from Logistics CoordinatorPrepare stock for movement via couriersIssue parts to end user when neededIncident resolutionProactive escalation of unresolved events, incidents and service request to stakeholdersPlanning and designWork with clients and users, as well as other process and functional actors to determine and address operational requirements within technology and budget constraintsPerform auditing of hardware and software before and after the implementation of release package changesProduce network release documentation and communications, including training to customer requirementsEnsuring quality components of methodology is followed to achieve all process milestonesEnsure project tasks delivered in accordance with larger project objectives, where applicableEnsuring that the requirements are documented in technical specifications and topologiesInternal PerspectiveContribute to roll out planning including method of deploymentTimely risk escalation and issues to stakeholdersComplete required checklists that defines the completion criteria for each service performed. Ensure release communication, preparation and training where requiredProvide technical and application guidance and support throughout the release processProvide early life support following deploymentOperate and maintainPerform pre approved, manual or remote networking support, peripheral build, and firmware rollouts to all network devicesComplete required checklists that defines the completion criteria for each service performedProvide informal technical advice and guidance around networking devices and associated peripherals Timely risk escalation and issues to stakeholdersMonitors networking environment and efficiency and makes recommendations as to improvements, where applicableService Provider ManagementWhere necessary and appropriate, liaise directly with external service providers (e.g. Telkom, Cisco, etc.) in the case of an event or incident occurringProcess complianceAdhere to applicable processes and standards (ISO, ITIL) and best practice models for relevant Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)Training/operation hand-overWhere any of the role tasks are delegated to other process and functional actors, ensure that staff are adequately trained and are provided with access to the appropriate tools to enable them to perform these tasks
