Summary of Responsibilities / Duties / Job Skills: Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials and components per specific codes, procedures, and customer requirements. Execute inspections as directed by project or QC managers. Review and improve NDT processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency; assist in project preparation. Interpret test results, provide recommendations, and maintain test documentation and reports. Operate, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members, support engineers, and continuously develop NDT expertise. Manage the QC/NDT equipment store.
Skills Knowledge of best practices in record keeping; effective communication and attention to detail.
Knowledge Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, procedures, industry specifications & codes. General understanding of industry related specifications, e.g. AWS D1.1, ASME IX, AMSE B31.3, API General understanding and familiarity of NDE (MT, PT, RT, UT) methods and reports. General understanding and familiarity of fabrication processes. E.g. Welding (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW), cutting, rolling etc.
Qualifications Matric (required) NDT qualifications: SNT-TC-1A / ISO9712 Level II MPI + LPI (required) SAIW Level I/ II welding inspector(Would be advantageous*)
Experience Minimum of 3 – 4 years experience working as an NDT Technician. Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering fabrication facility.  Valid Driver's licence
