We are currently looking for a National SHEQ Manager based in Gqeberha, our production facility.Overview & Purpose of the role:The priority of keeping all employees safe and deliver good quality products to our customers.The SHEQ manager oversees the safety, health environment, and quality assurance side of the business.
Develops, manages, supervises and coordinates work systems to ensure that the production or services of the business meets the highest quality standards and that the working practices of the company are compliant to the ISO 9001:2015, ISO:14001 and ISO:45001 standards implementation and upkeep.Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government legislation with respect to safety regulations.Reporting all instances of non-compliance.Management of customer and internal complaints.Required to travel between four national warehouse & logistic sites WCP, KZN and GTP (up to 10% travel).Key Areas of Responsibility: SHE NationallyConduct weekly workplace inspections and provide reports to senior management.Monitor progress of corrective and preventative actions.
.Outstanding actions to be reported to senior management.Coordinate all SHE Committees.All legal appointments.Plan and coordinate emergency drills.Monthly SHE Newsletter.Management of IOD's from onset to closure.Root cause analysis and incident closing out.SHEQ filing and confirm all is up to date, meeting SHEQ requirements.Loading of incidents and conducting investigations of all SHE accidents and incidents.Induction training for new employees regarding SHEQ requirements and safety standards.Creation, issuing and training of works instructions, control plans and SOP's.Conduct SHE risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.Ensure that business complies with all applicable legislation concerning Occupational Health and Safety Act.Investigate, manage, and put in place preventive action for incidents and accidents.Ensure that the regions comply with business requirements as well as internal compliance audits.Ensure that all EHS filing is up to date and easily retrievable during audits.Ensure that all approved Apex service providers have provided us with the required legal and compliance documentation.Contractor management, including safety files.Ensure that monthly H&S meetings are held and that any issues are reported to the 16.2 (responsible department) and closed out timeously.Key Areas of Responsibility: Quality NationallyManage five Quality Controllers at ECP production site.Interaction/communication with customers regarding complaints, the investigation, resolving, feedback and closure thereof.All quality investigations internal and external, product and non-product.Customer specifications, from design to final sign off and implementation.
CSRISO filing and documentation as required.Approval of deviations within the manufacturing facility.Management of the QC laboratory including annual calibrations.Maintenance of colour library.
Ensure there is a Master sample of every type of material we manufacture and stored neatly and safely in the facility.
Save all Master standards on the colour spectrophotometer.
Control and file all Masterbatch samples from our suppliers.Control of incoming raw materials via COA/COCAssist with the production plan by ensuring the correct standard is available before the production run.Ensure daily time management spent on the QMS.Ensure that adequate communication channels are open to discuss the QMS progress and development within the depot.Ensure documents and record control as per the QMS.
Management of all absolute and outdated documents according to the relevant procedure.Issuing and retrieval of non-conformances and following up to ensure closed out in time.Conduct, manage and monitor annual management reviews.Conducting annual Internal Audit on Management System and reporting back to Executive Team.Quality Risk assessments and ensuring compliance throughout the organisation.Oversee all audits from internal and external origin.Ensure that audit reports are received and responded to in a timeous manner.Ensure that all findings are followed up on, and appropriate corrective action is taken with sufficient evidence to ensure that the finding is closed out.Education:Matric as minimum requirement.Proven 5-10 years of experience in similar role and industry.Diploma / Degree preferable.Essential – full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management experience.Disposition (Required Critical Behaviours).Must have full driving license.Should you not receive any response within 2 weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
