If you're ready for a dynamic role with plenty of opportunities, we want you on our team!Your RoleThe National Sea Logistics Trade & Pricing Manager (Europe & USA) is responsible for the successful implementation, management, and review of the pricing and trade activities within South Africa for specifically Europe and US Trade.This includes growing market share on core trades and increasing gross profit through effective pricing and pricing models.Your ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Network Trade/Product Managers to ensure that competitive pricing is used to secure key opportunities.Liaise closely with sales functions such as key accounts, field sales, and internal sales, and ensure that feedback is provided for each opportunity.Ensure all national and branch tariffs are updated and available on the various platforms for accurate and efficient quoting specific to Europe and USA trades.Review RFQs for all must win/key bids before final submission.Ensure proper engagement is happening with relevant stakeholders for must win/key opportunities.Liaise closely with Trade Managers to ensure market info is available for internal and external use.Negotiate directly with suppliers where necessary to obtain best possible pricing for specific enquiries.Work towards achieving volume and gross profit targets.Participate in joint visits and presentations to customers as required.Your Skills and ExperiencesAdvanced level of computer literacy (especially Excel).Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments.A minimum of 5 years' experience in sea freight, sales and/or trade development.Good customs knowledge in the South African environment.Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.Proven verbal and written communications skills in English.Good Reasons to JoinWe offer an employee-friendly environment for you to develop and grow to become a skilled transportation logistics professional in a challenging and fast-developing company with a competitive salary and opportunities for further development within the Kuehne+Nagel Group.
