ResponsibilitiesPallet ControlManage and control Pallet movementsChecking and controlling CDC/DC Chep DashboardsSupport to the DC's on managing the Chep systemProcess AlignmentMonitor in- and out movements on CDC and DC level vs captured on the Chep systemMonitor adhering to Pallet receipt and transfer out processesReportingFacilitating and Action weekly pallet meetingsWeekly Pallet summary on counts received from DC's to be captured on the Weekly ScorecardMonitor and manage Pallet Count variancesMonitoring pallet exchanges and customer outstanding balances and reportsWeekly update on outstanding pallets from customers with comments and action plan in co-operation with ACT on pallet recoveryTo share Customer outstanding Pallet balances with the Sales Team bi-weeklyReceive and Capture Monthly Pallet counts on the Monthly SummaryACT Functionality ACT is responsible for the accurate receipt, despatch and capturing of CHEP pallets by implementing control procedures, thereby minimizing the risk of pallet lossesMonitor receipt, despatch and control procedures with regular updatesWork and engage with ACT on a constant basisSupport to ACT on any internal assistance neededProductivity/Pallet Write Off Provision Monitor variances on a weekly basis on CDC and DC level to avoid losses and pallet write off'sMonthly summary on surplus/lossesGeneralSupport on Access Control on the Chep SystemIdentifying areas of opportunity for training and development of Stock Controllers and Site Administrators in the execution of Pallet movement transactionsTraining to Site Forklift Drivers and Stock Controllers on Pallet defects and what to look for before a pallet is rejectedMonitor frequency of damaged/broken pallet return per site to determine if poor handling contribute to this numberTime to time site visits for unexpected pallet counts to verify correctness of counts and to monitor if pallets is not used for other than products only–this will avoid rental on-cost of non-movable pallets QualificationsQualificationsGrade 12/Matric/Senior CertificateA Tertiary QualificationKnowledge/Skill Computer literacy essential (Microsoft Office Package) with a sound understanding of Excel (worksheets & formulas) Good communication skills both written and verbal Good collaborative, leadership and influencing skills Strong administration skillsExtremely high organization skills and ability to multi-task/prioritizeStrong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to navigate matrix business environmentFinancial AcumenHigh level of attention to detailExperience Proven track record of managing a team that is geographically dispersed Sound financial acumen"PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
