The position As a National Business Development & Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing the Novo Nordisk obesity portfolio within the private market. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and developing national partnership opportunities that improve access to medical weight loss and high-quality weight loss services for appropriate patients seeking treatment and thus improve outcomes for people living with obesity. Your main accountabilities will be: Supporting local health economies to incorporate our portfolio into their care pathways, guidelines, and policies via profiling and selection, opportunity mapping/validation, account prioritization, engagement with key customers and stakeholders, successful implementation of change, and demonstration of outcomes. Leading and mentoring the regional business development leads to ensure development and alignment with the national strategy. Designing and implementing a strategic development plan with the team that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence. Demonstrating cross-functional team working across the Obesity Business Unit and beyond to maximize the sales of Novo Nordisk products. Participate in and contribute effectively to team meetings, national conferences, and cross-functional project groups for Novo Nordisk. Managing the national key accounts like pharmacy chains, medical funders, patient organizations, and National specialist groups relevant to the obesity portfolio. Manage the Regional Business Development Leads ensuring excellence in the development and execution of their own local account plans and effective alignment of the implementation of national partnership projects. Demonstrating a high level of commercial acumen. Significant experience in the identification and conversion of opportunities supporting increasing sales through account development and servicing. Successfully utilize a range of resources, materials, and data to articulate the value of our portfolio and account solutions. Qualifications As a National Business Development & Key Account Manager, you need to have a relevant academic degree or a master's degree from a reputable university, preferably a science or business-related subject or equivalent. Moreover, you need to have relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years in a similar role preferably in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. You also need to have excellent command over both written and spoken English and have a relevant business background. To be successful in this role you should have: Decision-making and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate. Ability to expand stakeholder relationships at all levels within your locality by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives. Proactive and accountable with a clear drive for delivery of your plan and making things happen. Able to balance multiple responsibilities, client deliverables, and internal obligations. Willingness to collaborate with stakeholders, business development, and drive their personal development. Proven experience creating targeted content (will be an advantage). Valid driving license and willingness to travel in the region.
