National Accountant (Ftc)

A power solutions conglomerate seeks an experienced AccountantReference: NPr000751-EHo-1This is a FTC position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of the finance activities of the group companies. This position will report directly to the GM: Finance.Duties include, but are not limited to:Process daily and monthly journalsMaintenance of cashbookManagement of accounting staff, and training of branch and regional accounting staffPrepare reconciliations as well as inter-company transactions to ensure balances are accurateManage and resolve accounting queries and issuesPrepare monthly cash flow forecast / payment summariesLoad paymentsEnforce compliance with finance policies and internal controlsPerform VAT reconciliations and submissionsPerform reconciliations, collate and consolidate informationAttend stock countsPreparation of monthly management reportsInterpret and prepare financial reports and annual budgetsMonitor performance against budgets and forecastsLiaise with all other operations business units and involvement in the financial side of operationsAnalyse and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancementEstablish finance and operational strategiesProject accountingEducationBCom degree in Finance or Accounting essentialHonours degree preferredJob Experience & Skills RequiredCompleted SAICA or SAIPA articles3 to 5 years post articles experience in a full function finance role essentialProject environment experience preferred (retail / manufacturing / wholesale / distribution)Experience with cost control and financial analysis essential3+ years managerial experience essentialUnderstanding of BI Tools essentialStrong analytical skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong presentation and communication skillsStrong business partnering and reporting skillsBusiness and financial acumenMeticulous attention to detailPackage & RemunerationR 700000 - R 750000 - AnnuallyApplication ProcessIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
