You are still eligible for company benefits.ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Governance AdvisingAssessing organizational and/or portfolio strengths and challenges.Surveying the landscape or "ecosystem" in which foundation clients conduct their work to identify targets of opportunity.Developing effective grantmaking approaches and complementary resource investments.Assessing the institutional capacity of foundation clients and guiding their approach to improve and strengthen institutional systems and governance.Data Collection and AnalysisConducting and analyzing interviews.Reviewing and summarizing secondary data, including research reports and client background materials.Analyzing quantitative data.Leading and actively participating in team meetings to discuss and develop findings and recommendations.Developing written reports and presentations summarizing analysis and recommendations.Facilitation and PresentationPlanning and facilitating meetings with boards, staff members, and other stakeholders.Developing meeting agendas and meeting reports.Preparing and making presentations to clients.Grant Strategy AdvisingReviewing and summarizing grant proposals and grant reports on behalf of clients.Arranging and participating in site visits and drafting site visit reports.Helping to design grant processes.Project ManagementProviding day-to-day project management.Developing and monitoring project work plans and budgets.Supervising the project work of analysts, administrative assistants, and affiliates.Client RelationsBuilding client relations, including email and telephone communication, and in-person meetings.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.SkillsA minimum of five years relevant work experience in the philanthropy sector. Previous experience with consulting and/or project management required. Experience working in diverse communities and across social, economic, and cultural differences strongly preferred.Exceptional writing skills: Ability to present complex concepts, findings, and recommendations in succinct, salient, and readable reports and memos.Exceptional analytical skills: Ability to tackle large and complex problems in topic areas of interest to our clients by parsing out issues, weighing pros and cons, and developing recommendations.Strong oral communication and presentation skills: Ability to facilitate meetings, present reports, and think on your feet in meetings.Strong client relations skills: Ability to pick up on different organizational cultures and work with a wide range of different types of foundation leadership, including boards.Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to work well both as a member of a team and independently.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Self-starter: Ability to manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, delegate work efficiently, and take direction from multiple project managers.BenefitsMedical Aid, provident fund.
