Ref: NAM 415536 - Human Resources Generalist – East RandEmployer DescriptionConstruction CompanyDuties & ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be required to support the Human Capital Department's operations to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. You will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will assist with essential functions such as staffing, training and development, compensation, and benefits, BBBEE, and drafting HR policies. You will be the go-to person for employees to assist with their queries on HR-related topics.Duties:Management and employees are adequately trained in performance management systems.Track and ensure that all managers complete performance reviews and that they are timeously and accurately implemented.Ensure that Employment Equity and Skills Development Forum meetings are held with the Human Capital Director and Manager.Ensure that EE Forum Elections are held every two years.Identify barriers to the achievement of Employment Equity goals and work towards removing them.Yearly submission of the employment equity report.Implement an annual training plan based on the performance reviews.Compile a training plan and ensure that it is approved by the Human Capital Director.Timeously complete and submit WSP and ATR to Construction SETA.Co-ordinate internal training interventions.Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.Conduct employee onboarding.Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise on consultation with managers and the HR team.Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.Ensure compliance with BCEA.Assist with BEE verifications.Desired Experience & QualificationQualificationsHR DegreeSkills5 Years Experience in ConstructionMatrix and MS OfficeUnderstanding of general human resources policies and proceduresGood knowledge of employment/labor lawsExcellent communication and people skillsAptitude in problem-solvingTeam PlayerPackage & RemunerationSalary / PackageR500k - R550K CTC50% Medical AidProvident FundGroup Life
