The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Collaborate with our internal team and key stakeholders to develop, design and create multimedia content including but not limited to web, mail, digital, social, display, video and print.Implement, design, and adapt templates and workflows for the above collateral.Design digital marketing, including websites, social media, and digital advertising.Design direct marketing, including email, desk drops and notifications, etc.Design internal and external communication, including newsletters, mailers, etc.Design advertising, including digital ads, outdoor, digital campaigns, etc.Design collateral and branding, including brand guides, brochures, publications, merchandising, etc.Design multimedia content, including infographics, social media posts, stories, videos, etc.Design promotional, conference and event material, including banners, programmes, invitations, etc.Produce digital marketing videos and take event photos.Own and evolve our multimedia design and execution to ensure high visibility across various channels and platforms.Use multimedia design skills across all disciplines to develop a visual language that is brand compliant whilst connecting effortlessly with our stakeholders.Take on additional responsibilities commensurate to the role as and when required.Multimedia Design:Create visually appealing and attention-grabbing graphics, illustrations, and animations for use across various digital platforms.Develop compelling visual content for social media campaigns, email marketing, website banners, advertisements, and other marketing materials.Utilise animation and drawing skills to bring concepts to life and enhance visual storytelling.Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualise and execute creative designs that align with the company's brand identity.Ensure all designs are in line with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all marketing channels.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in multimedia design, animation, and drawing techniques.Social Media Content Creation:Develop engaging visual content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.Design eye-catching social media posts, infographics, GIFs, and short videos to enhance brand awareness and drive user engagement.Incorporate animation and drawing techniques to create captivating and shareable content.Work closely with the marketing team to create social media campaigns that align with marketing goals and objectives.Optimise visual content for different social media platforms to ensure maximum reach and impact.Web Development Support:Assist with web development projects, collaborating with the development team to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.Design website layouts, graphics, icons, and other visual elements to enhance the overall user experience.Utilise multimedia design skills to create interactive and engaging website features.Collaborate with the marketing team and web developers to ensure consistent branding and visual coherence across the website.Optimise graphics and visuals for web display to ensure fast loading times and optimal performance. Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:Formal degree/diploma in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia design or related field.3+ Years relevant work experience, preferably in a marketing or advertising setting.A portfolio demonstrating expertise in multimedia design is a must.Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe After Effect Adobe Animate, Adobe XD) and CoralDraw.Videography and photography skills are essential.Web skills such as HTML, CSS, media savvy and programming skills are a plus.A high visual aesthetic with superb layout and typography skills.Excellent knowledge of storyboarding, visual design principles, and animation.Knowledge of print production and pre-press file preparation.Ability to work well within templated processes, innovating when required to streamline the delivery of creative for all platforms.Ability to multitask and handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities under tight time constraints.Strong understanding of campaign development and executions.Good knowledge of social design trends and approaches, particularly across Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.Desire to continually learn, evaluate and implement new technologies; up to date on current trends, new techniques and resources in graphic design and related technologies.South African citizen or holder of a valid work permit.
