Key Responsibilities: Create, implement, and manage strategic and tactical plans for the sales department to ensure profitability, sustainability, and growth.
Motivate and lead the team to meet sales targets, manage inventory procurement and vehicle reconditioning, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels to maximize profits.
Ensure the sales department operates efficiently and effectively, surpassing customer expectations and setting industry standards.
Collaborate with the Dealer Principal and Financial Manager on the DSP Sales Department budget.
Support sales staff in closing deals when necessary.
Oversee evaluations and trade-ins of pre-owned vehicles.
Inspire and manage the team to achieve business objectives.
Attract, retain, evaluate, and develop sales personnel.
Minimum Requirements: Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
A business diploma or equivalent qualification in Management, Marketing, or Sales is preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in managing successful sales teams in the automotive retail sector, with expertise in both new and used vehicle sales.
Strong understanding of the used car market, vehicle evaluations, reconditioning, and inventory management.
Proven track record of leading sales teams to exceed goals and targets.
Familiarity with data protection regulations and other industry standards (CPA, FICA, POPIA, NCA).
Experience in sales processes, lead management, and online sales strategies.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Solid knowledge of financial management and budgeting principles.
Valid drivers license.
