As part of your portfolio as Manager: Rewards Governance and Global Payroll, you will be:
The Manager: Governance Rewards and Global Payroll will execute and deliver on the reward agenda to drive alignment of reward practices and collective achievement of rewards targets across the Finco.
The Manager: Governance Rewards and Global Payroll reports to the Senior Manager, Rewards and Recognition. The position will interface with the Finco Opco HR community, Business and Regional Talent Partners, Finco HR Operations and the Manco HR where necessary on key Rewards Policies from a governance perspective including the annual salary review process and STI/LTI governance processes.
Assist with implementation of any payroll processes related to the governance, checking and overseeing of payrolls/payments related to Virtual Commuters (VC's) based in the Opco's as well as any related Rewards/Benefits items for VC's from a remuneration standpoint.
Operational Delivery Support Delivery Management
Drive continuous improvement of Rewards Governance practices to ensure relevance, alignment with international standards and fostering of a fair and transparent culture for rewards, across the Group Fintech and Finco OpcosIdentify and propose solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of rewards governance and operational compliance practices across the organization (e.g. digital solutions/platform/technology consolidation blueprints etc.)Research, study and identify innovation compliance and monitoring methods to improve speed, effectiveness and outcome of rewards reviews.Manage effective implementation of rewards special projects and initiatives including any remuneration aspects for Virtual Commuters and annual processes including STI's, salary reviews and LTI and other benefits including any ad-hoc VC payments/benefitsEnsuring various Opco's are compliant on Governance on the Group Fintech Remuneration and Benefits On-board and develop strong working relationships with Regional Partners and Finco Opco HR teams to ensure successful execution and delivery thereofProvide training and consulting support to local Rewards specialists and Business Talent Partners, in order to ensure effective adoption and use of rewards methods, practices and toolsLiaise with external suppliers and consultants for outsourcing service provision and contract managementSupport the offer process and contract process for all VC's in line with the VC process working closely with the HR Operations and Business partnering teams as well as recruitment.Support the finance business partner with the budgeting and business planning process in relation to the VC assignments and all aspects and costs involved.Rewards Governance
Support in the implementation of rewards governance philosophy across Group Finco and its Opcos with a view to improve compliance, cost consciousness and consistent practicesSupport the Global Rewards Governance Forums (does not include statutory and Board committees) with the necessary terms of reference, processes, accountabilities. Ensure participation of the relevant Opco Rewards teamsSupport and provide inputs to rewards proposals and approvals with REMCO and other remuneration governance committees applicable to Group FincoOnboard and drive active participation of the relevant Opco Rewards communitiesOperational owner to manage the Rewards Governance and payroll process for VC's:Prepare and present the agenda for the governance meetings (related to Remuneration for Group Fintech including VC's)Prepare and deliver the governance presentations and reportsPrepare Group Executive Committee papers as well as Board of Director submissions to the relevant Board or Committee responsible for reward as applicableRecommend, devise, monitor and report on key risks, actions plans / mitigation strategiesCommunicate and train Finco opco Rewards teams on the reward compliance models / control frameworks / audit formats / self-review assessments to evaluate Opco compliance to the Global standards/policies/frameworksAssist in the development of the rewards compliance calendars and schedules. Ensure timely communication to the OpcosPerform, execute and report on the rewards compliance reviews performed as per review schedule.Facilitate participation in global compensation and benefits surveys to enable benchmarking against industry practices for the Group and Opcos, assisting and supporting with any Opco related benchmarkingAssisting opco rewards with any Remuneration Memo's for example, COLA increase motivations for VC's based in the opco, other benefits related items for instance Lifestyle benefit interventions.Assist in preparation of statutory filing/reports and releases for the Group Entity, in conjunction with the Manco Rewards teamsProvide service delivery advice and support to the Opcos in managing compensation and benefits processes policies and systems including recognition platformDefine documentation standards, traceability and audit ability of documentation and working papers to enable consistent in practices across Opcos. Working with OD on annual AUP for STI auditsResponsible for policy socialisation to both Group Fintech and Opco's where requiredThe "Must-haves" we look for in an incumbent Minimum of 5 years' experience in working in the HR domain in telecommunication environment with specific focus on global compensation and benefitsMinimum of 3 year tertiary degree / diploma (Human Resources / Business Studies / Finance/ Equivalent)Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional bodies in areas pertaining to remuneration and rewards management, etc.(advantageous)Financial / Numeracy experienceExperience in ERP (Oracle preferred)Project management experienceWorked across diverse cultures and geographiesExperience working in a medium to large organizationA track record of creating innovative and measurable solutions to business challengeExperience in operating centers of excellence (preferred)Pan Africa multi-cultural experienceWhat will give an edge to your application Functional Knowledge:
