KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: On-Site Project Monitoring: Act as the Employer's Agent's Assistant (Assistant Resident Engineer) on-site for the mine rehabilitation projects. Conduct routine inspections to ensure that rehabilitation activities align with project specifications and timelines.
Technical Investigations and Design: Conduct site investigations to gather necessary data for rehabilitation designs. Collaborate with the project team to produce accurate and actionable technical designs and reports.
Contract and Project Management Assistance: Support effective project management by tracking progress and maintaining detailed records.  Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of detailed progress reports to provide updates on site activities, challenges, and achievements. Document all observations and technical findings for reference and audit purposes.
Capacity Building and Skill Development: Leverage on-site learning opportunities to build expertise in mine rehabilitation and environmental safety. Collaborate with team members to develop innovative approaches for efficient project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (NQF level 7) degree in Civil Engineering. Excellent academic record: 60% average
