MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSGrade 12Facilitator and Assessors CertificateModerators certificate advantageousRelevant MQA Assessor registration / scope of workBlasting TicketRelevant MQA Skills program CertificateSouth African Driver's LicenseEXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS5 years in an underground production environment at supervisory level3 years of assessment experience as a registered assessor5 years of underground trackless mining experience at Training Officer levelROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESConducting training needs analysis in an area of responsibility.Follow training plan and schedule training interventions in line with operational requirements.Follow training systems, templates, and learning material in line with training and development procedures.Facilitate mining training sessions and use a variety of facilitation methods to cater for different types of learning styles (Role Play, Video, Simulation, SMEs, etc.).Conduct formative, summative, and RPL assessments through observations.Compile POEs according to training and development procedures.Coach learners as and when required.Generate required departmental training reports and develop skills matrices for the area of responsibility.Create and follow-up training events.Conduct on-the-job coaching for skills development and skills transfer candidates.
