We are the world's leading primary producer of PGMs, which have a range of specialised applications that improve lives across the world – from vehicle fuel cells to jewellery; dentistry to glassmaking; pacemakers to petroleum refining.Job DescriptionExecute the "Plan Work" element of the Work Management Framework and review the Work Order Task Status Report on a daily basis. This includes assisting in planning & prioritizing the work and tracking upcoming work.Plan approved work orders for resource procurement and execution before expiration date.Accountable for collecting and collating information as required by the business unit as per specific pre-planning guidelines and work package creation of all approved work.Optimize the planning process to minimize changes and variability and improve stability including cost budget control requirements adherence.Inspect work areas in the mine to assess if there are any safety concerns and report them, implementing an action plan to resolve these concerns.Ensure efficient mining operational execution by ensuring conformance to all mine planning related standards.Meet mining objectives by ensuring all planning systems are up to date and aligned to quarterly and yearly plans.Ensure compliance with all legal and environmental, occupational health and safety, and risk management standards in accordance with the Mineral Act and Regulations and compliance to OSHAS and MHS Acts.This role is at a C5 level reporting to the Integrated SchedulerQualificationsGrade 12.Metalliferous Blasting Ticket (Rock Breaking Ticket).Shift Supervisor Certificate.Experience2 years experience as a Shift Supervisor in the mining industry.SAP experience will be advantageous.Knowledge and SkillsMust be computer literate.Valid driving license code 08.Additional InformationCandidate will undergo medical assessment.The planner will be required to do 1-2 underground shifts per week.Our GBV StandPlatinum takes a stand against gender-based violence: "We are unconditional in creating a respectful, inclusive and safe working environment to ensure that no colleague will be violated or harassed under our watch."Who We AreWe aim to lead the industry by pursuing ever safer and more responsible ways of working, demonstrating integrity and showing care and respect for people and the planet.
