Our client has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Mining Manager to oversee operations at their open cast mine in the Northern Cape.
This pivotal role demands extensive experience in the mining industry, as well as exceptional management skills, including decision-making, change management, planning and organizing, and the ability to implement and coordinate complex projects effectively.
A crucial requirement for this position is holding a legal appointment in terms of Section 2.6.1, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities Mining Operations: Plan, execute, and oversee the day-to-day operations of ore extraction, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Identify and implement strategies for operational efficiencies and productivity improvements in mining processes.Asset Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of mining assets, implementing corrective actions to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.Contractor Management: Manage relationships with contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and adherence to safety protocols.Strategic Learnership and Influence: Develop and promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, influencing best practices and fostering a skilled workforce.Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns promptly.Budget Management and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place to meet financial targets.SHERQ Adherence and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) standards, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.Work Ethics: Foster a culture of integrity and professionalism, ensuring that all team members adhere to ethical standards and company policies.
