ProSidian seeks a Mining Industry Fiscal/Economic Modeler / Revenue Specialist [541690 Contract Contingent] located in Cape Town, South Africa, to support an engagement for U.S. Govt. International Technical Assistance Program (ITAP) providing assistance on technical, regulatory, environmental, and financial management for national development on a range of energy and non-energy resources.
Key Responsibilities: Provide industry technical expertise, experience, training, and support with Energy, Extractives, and Renewable Energy concerns to generate economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses concerning Mining Industry operations.Provide potential income forecasts and negotiating information for potential Stakeholder Mineral Development Agreements.Serve as a leading adviser to regulated businesses, economic regulators, law firms, and investors internationally.Perform economic impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses; competition assessments and compliance; access pricing, charging arrangements, and tariff design.Prepare formal written reports and presentations related to Mining Industry Economic Models and Revenue forecasts.Develop and apply bespoke approaches to solve complex, unstructured problems in a logical manner.Collaborate with analysts working on other modeling teams to relate inputs and outputs across models.Minimum Requirements: Minimum of Ten (10) years of consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years.Bachelor's Degree in math, economics, finance, statistics, computer science, or another relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.Demonstrated experience presenting research findings to broad technical and non-technical audiences.Core Competencies: Teamwork, Leadership, Business Acumen, Communication, Motivation, Agility, Judgment, Organization.ProSidian Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or veteran status.
