Mining Engineer

Mining Engineer Location: Botswana Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Mining Job Duties: Designing underground and surface mines Developing mining plans and schedules Overseeing mining operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Conducting feasibility studies and assessing the financial viability of mining projects Evaluating equipment and machinery for mining operations Providing technical expertise and support to mining teams Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Botswana or the ability to obtain one Education: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of underground mining operations and processes Proficiency in mining software and technologies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Good project management skills Working Conditions: The role of a Mining Engineer involves working in both office and mining site environments. It may require travel to different locations for project assessments and meetings. The job may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and other occupational hazards commonly found in mining operations.
