Key ResponsibilitiesMine Planning: Develop comprehensive and strategic mine plans that optimize both open-pit and underground operations.Design & Scheduling: Design innovative and cost-effective mining layouts and schedules that maximize operational efficiency and resource extraction.Collaboration: Work closely with geologists, environmental specialists, and other engineers to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.Problem-Solving: Tackle operational challenges with creative, data-driven approaches, ensuring safe and profitable mining practices.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all mining activities comply with local regulations and best practices, providing clear, accurate reports to management and stakeholders.Qualifications & SkillsMine Planning Expertise: Proven experience in developing detailed mine plans and schedules, with a focus on maximizing value.Mining Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of mining engineering principles, including open-pit and underground mining methods.Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in mine design software (e.g., Datamine, Deswik, MVP Scheduler, or similar tools).Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mining Engineering or a related field is required.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
