We have an exciting opportunity for a Mine Reconciliation Engineer (Kolomela). The purpose of this role is to support the Mine Technical Service department with the value chain reconciliation, mine to plan compliance and plan to plan compliance processes.

Job Description
As our Mine Reconciliation Engineer (Kolomela), your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Consistently apply safety and health principles in all site interactions.
Identify specific risks within the working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/systems to avoid these risks.
Ensure mining plans and designs adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards, proposing measures to mitigate potential risks.
Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments, and close-out of Safety Actions.
Maximize the efficiency of data operations with seamless coordination of all data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Measure spatial compliance monthly to plan compliance efforts effectively.
Prepare a monthly compliance report to assess adherence to the plan.
Take immediate action to address any deviations from the compliance plan.
Ensure compliance meets regulations and creates a safer and more sustainable environment.
Measure spatial and volumetric plans using appropriate tools and techniques.
Report monthly plan-to-plan compliance results, compile all relevant data, and create a clear report highlighting non-compliance areas.
Investigate the root cause of compliance deviations, propose corrective actions, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
This role is in the Technical & Integrated Planning (T&IP) NC discipline at a 6.10 level reporting to Specialist Mine Reconciliation Sishen & Kolomela.
Qualifications
Relevant National Diploma (NQF6)
Relevant Technical Degree or BTech Engineering (NQF7) Advantageous
SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
3-5 Years of operational experience in open-cast mining and related operations.
Specialized knowledge in Mining Engineering, including mineral extraction, mine design, and geotechnical engineering.
Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as MHSA.
Proficiency in project management, planning/scheduling.
Ability to apply the mine planning cycle.
Understanding of financial metrics, budgeting tools, and cost analysis.
Knowledge of risk management techniques and critical controls.
Awareness of safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Proficiency in mine scheduling software.
