Job Description:Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Supports the achievement of production performance level:Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from Plant SupervisorPrepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements in order to complete tasksEnsure that all resources requirements are communicated to Plant Supervisor in order to complete allocated work ordersInform the Team Leader when work is being conducted in the area of responsibilityCo-ordinate maintenance activities with the Team Leader, to ensure that the operation is not effected or alternative plans need to be preparedShow the appropriate Team Leader how certain low level maintenance and preventative steps can be undertake by the operational team within processCommunicate any stumbling blocks to the appropriate Plant Supervisor so that plans can be madeEnsure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment are conductedEnsure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibilityAvailable for after hours standby dutyMaintains the equipment to standard:Ensure that all planned maintenance schedules are accurately complied withEnsure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specificationsEnsure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followedIdentify opportunities to improve operationsParticipation in improvement projectsSupport efforts to overcome operational problemsIdentify risks and threats to the process proactivelyEnsure that the correct tools are used to complete tasksEnsure that materials and equipment are available for the shifts requirements in the areaCommunicate plant defects to the Team Leader or Engineering Supervisor via notificationsEnsure that employees have clear work expectations and plansEnsure that employees work in a safe environmentSupervise allocated multi-task team member in order to complete assigned work tasks or ordersEnsure that the prescribed safety equipment is always wornComplete and sign off all allocated ordersCommunicate process problems to necessary peopleSupport BA team members if they require helpHelp engineering employees to maintain equipment in BAEffective two way communications with team membersAdministration of necessary systems:Assist the BA Officer in completing safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for areaCompile an accurate shift/work order reportsEnsure that technical data is accurateComplete requisitions for stock items requiredPrepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customersComplete the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares usedParticipate in required meetings including safetyAccurately complete role administration requirementsAct in Plant Supervisor positionsThis role is at a C2 level reporting to the Plant Engineer Qualifications:Certified Competent as MillwrightExperience3 -5 years experienceKnowledge and SkillsValid driving license code 08
