Leading international manufacturer is seeking a trade tested Millwright for a Yes4Youth 12 month learneship programme.
This is an ideal platform to gain more experience within the manufacturing sector and will appeal to newly trade tested applicants with at least one years experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in installing and aligning new machinery and equipment.
Use tools and techniques to assemble components according to blueprints and specifications.
Perform initial testing to ensure proper functionality.
Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems, such as lubricating parts, tightening bolts, and replacing worn components.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
Repair or replace faulty equipment parts under supervision.
Monitor machinery performance and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Support preventive maintenance programs by cleaning, inspecting, and adjusting machines regularly.
Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with machinery.
Ensure all equipment is operated within safety regulations and report any hazards.
Maintain records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time taken.
Assist in documenting new procedures or updating existing manuals as required.
Shadow senior millwrights to gain knowledge of complex systems.
Attend training sessions or workshops to improve skills and stay updated on industry standards.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Assist with inventory management, including tools and spare parts.
REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 (with Mathematics) Have a Millwright trade test Have at least one years experience Be a South African citizen Be between the ages of 18 and 34 Must be currently unemployed Be willing to complete the 12 month learnership RUMUNERATION Market Related
