To excel in this role, you should have a Qualified Trade Certificate as a Millwright, with a minimum of 3-5 years of plant maintenance experience and 2-3 years of turning and machining experience.
Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment would be advantageous, as would skills in welding and tool/parts management.
Strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a team-player mentality are essential to thrive in this challenging, hands-on position.
