Leading manufacturer is seeking a trade tested Millwright with 5 years post trade experience in Pietermaritzburg.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Normal and preventative maintenance of Hydraulic systems (presses, formers, pultrusion and injection moulding).
Normal and preventative maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels, control panels, heating and cooling systems and electrical circuitry) Normal and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment (gearboxes, pumps, chain drives, couplings and alignment) Fault finding and breakdown/emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical) Basic welding and Boiler making Technical assistance to production and maintenance teams Be part of continuous improvement Implement planned maintenance and counter measures Assistance with machine changeover and start-ups when require REQUIREMENTS Trade tested certificate as a qualified Millwright Experience Required Minimum 5 years applicable experience as a qualified Millwright PLC and VSD experience will be advantageous Induction furnace experience will be advantageous Key Skills and Knowledge Required Electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills In-depth knowledge of PLC and PLC programming on Delta and Mitsubishi systems Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical panels and PLCs Fault finding determination skills is essential Problem-solving ability Ability to read drawings Communication and decision-making skills Ability to work in a team or independently Ability to work under pressure Prepared to work overtime and standby whenever required Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems Basic welding and boiler making RUMUNERATION Basic: R150 to R192 per hour Leave enhancement pay (13th cheque) Provident fund Medical aid (50% contribution) Funeral cover
