RPO's client is looking for a Millwright to join their team.
The purpose of the position is to install and maintain machinery to ensure maximum uptime.
The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities: Normal and preventative maintenance of hydraulic systems (presses, formers, pultrusion, and injection moulding).
Normal and preventative maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels, control panels, heating and cooling systems, and electrical circuitry).
Normal and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment (gearboxes, pumps, chain drives, couplings, and alignment).
Fault finding and breakdown/emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical).
Basic welding and boilermaking.
Technical assistance to production and maintenance teams.
Participation in continuous improvement.
Implementation of planned maintenance and countermeasures.
Assistance with machine changeover and start-ups when required.
Requirements Trade tested certificate as a qualified Millwright Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills In-depth knowledge of PLC and PLC programming on Delta and Mitsubishi systems Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical panels, and PLCs Fault-finding determination skills Problem-solving ability Ability to read drawings Communication and decision-making skills Ability to work in a team or independently Ability to work under pressure Prepared to work overtime and standby whenever required Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems Basic welding and boilermaking Minimum 5 years' applicable experience as a qualified Millwright PLC and VSD experience will be advantageous Induction furnace experience will be advantageous Benefits Salary: negotiable.
