We are seeking an experienced Millwright / Maintenance Technician for our Trouw Nutrition office in South Africa. This role is crucial for managing and enhancing our integration landscape, maintaining the operational efficiency and longevity of our machinery, and contributing to the overall productivity and success of the Opco. Responsibilities include installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Job Description: Job Responsibilities: Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.Assemble and install machines then test them to make sure they are working correctly.Work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations. Responsible for LOTOTO, issuing of work permits and supervision of contractors.Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime.Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.Oversee preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts.Use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.Develop training material to train operators on how to efficiently operate equipment.Identify critical spare parts for equipment and ensure availability of the parts to reduce breakdowns.Investigate the root cause of major breakdowns.Identify and report potential asset care problems during inspections.Who We Are Looking For: Qualification: Matric or equivalent/N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.Professional Experience and Passion: At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment. Exposure to PLCs and AC drives is required. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential.
