Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.
Assemble and install machines then test them to ensure they are working correctly.
Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations. Responsible for LOTOTO, issuing work permits, and supervising contractors.
Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime.
Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
Oversee preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn-out pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts.
Use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.
Develop training material to train operators on how to efficiently operate equipment.
Identify critical spare parts for equipment and ensure availability to reduce breakdowns.
Investigate the root cause of major breakdowns.
Identify and report potential asset care problems during inspections.
Who We Are Looking For:
Qualification: Matric or equivalent/N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.
Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.
Professional Experience and Passion: At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment. Exposure to PLCs and AC drives is required. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential. Prepared to work overtime and do call-outs to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
