Millwright

LabourTek is seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright to join an FMCG company based in the Western Cape. As a Millwright, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant by maintaining and repairing all equipment. You will be responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and related systems of the plants equipment; perform daily maintenance and upkeep of all plant equipment; develop and maintain positive working relationships with production and QA teams; utilise your strong fault-finding skills to diagnose and troubleshoot issues; demonstrate proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; possess knowledge of PLCs for efficient fault finding; read and interpret drawings related to electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components; and adapt to changes and welcome constructive feedback. You should also exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, display a strong work ethic and be willing to work long hours (not a clock-watching mentality), and embrace a continuous learning mind-set. A minimum of N3 education and a recognised trade test qualification with at least 2 years of industrial experience, including 2 years in operations, are required.
