Mid-Weight Art Director

This role involves working within the Marketing team on a variety of different design activities.
This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.
Main responsibilities: Working alongside the Art Director on all creative assets.Involved in the brainstorming and creation of digital assets.Thinking creatively to produce new ideas for in-store signage, brochures, digital content, and highlighted installations, which are in line with each season's concepts. Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.You will be expected to keep abreast of current trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in design, photography, and publishing.Skills Required: A degree/diploma in Visual Communication/Graphic Design/Art DirectionExcellent technical knowledge of Adobe Suite design software.Minimum 3 – 4 years' experience in Art Direction / Multi-Disciplinary Design and Layout DesignBasic understanding & capability of Premier and After EffectsProven experience in video editing and Motion Graphics.Below the line and branding experience.Home and décor brand experience will be a plus, but not limited to it.Agency Experience would be advantageous.Competencies: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively work within a deadline driven environment.We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is good at communication, problem solver / solution thinker and team player.Ability to multi-task when needed. Understanding the brand and keen to learn and express their own ideas and thoughts.A keen eye for detail and designWork within lead-times and put their best work forward.We want someone to get stuck in and show their worth and bring strength and add value within the department and company.
