We have a fully equipped photographic and film studio, with three newly built studio kitchens in our agency.OverviewAs a Midweight Creative, you will help lead our passionate, multi-talented studio, guiding more junior members to deliver, and encourage exceptional, integrated concepts that exceed client briefs and expectations.
A Mid Copywriter is an important contact point in our agency, so they can expect to be craft-led, strategically driven, media agnostic, agile and consistently conceptual, with a desire to transform brands by creating exceptional, intuitive, and human-centred products and experiences.You must be tuned into all aspects of South African popular culture and the platforms and media it plays in, as well as have a strong point of view on what it takes to win in this space, with the experience to back it up.
Exceptional writing ability is paramount.
A good command of at least 1 vernacular language would be beneficial.ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but not limited to:Be part of the strategic process and interrogate the briefManage the creative process on projectsWork with other disciplines (Strategists, Developers, Media, Accounts, etc) to ensure cohesive team integration, and alignment with broader business objectivesBe a champion for innovative media solutions on every briefPlay an active role in campaign planningParticipate in pitches for new businessDefine the tone of overall campaignsManage multiple projects simultaneouslyGenerate ideas and sell them into clients and other members of the teamArticulate ideas clearlyConsistently produce creative elements against a deliverables listLead brainstorms & conceptualisationLead the craft of an ideaCompile presentations for clientsAttend client briefings & present to clientsAttend recordings & film shootsSource inspirational material and references of how to push creativityGood understanding of influencer, Mobile, Podcast, out-of-home, guerrilla, activations and direct marketingGreat time managementAbility to work under pressure & meet tight deadlinesAdept problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills with ability to provide rationales for creative choices madeStrong presentation skillsIn-depth working knowledge of existing and emerging technologies & platformsA strong understanding of the strategic processesAble to work with team members & delegate effectivelyUnderstand the client's business requirements, and understand how our services should be applied to solve business problemsAgility is keyStorytelling is imperative.Operational KPI'SHighly conceptual individual (Must show a minimum of 2 projects)Track record of leading the conceptualisation and execution of campaigns (Show minimum of 4 examples)Won at international and / or local awards (i.e.
