Mid - Senior Designer

IDM is seeking an experienced, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Mid-Senior Designer. The successful incumbent will play a crucial role in developing day-to-day creative work, producing visual aspects across brands, using ATL and BTL best practices, and working with the head designer to meet deliverables.This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of design practices; and the ability to collaborate effectively with various business units, when needed, including – and especially – the content team. This role requires attention to detail from a person who can interpret a brief with a full understanding of the brand(s) in mind.Key responsibilities and performance areas:Design print and digital collateral, based on various brand CIs.Develop new concepts.Create designs for social media platforms, apps, and marketing campaigns.Communication:Develop and maintain relationships with content delivery partners, particularly members of the content team.Be open to mentoring the junior designer.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues as needed.Compliance:Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Key attributes and competencies:A team player, above all else.Competent, confident, and decisive.An agile, independent thinker.Strong sense of ethics and discipline.Strong, conceptual thinker who is familiar with a wide range of design principles and production methods for digital, print, packaging, branding, typography, and more.Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.Keen attention to detail.Ability to manage time, priorities, workflow, and schedule, in order to meet deadlines; able to work quickly and efficiently.Solid presentation, listening, and communication skills, including when engaging with colleagues.Receptive to design critiques, while also able to present rationale for design choices confidently and respectfully.Resourceful – able to problem-solve and find multiple design solutions, especially under narrow parameters or strict project timelines and budgets.Ability to function well under pressure.Photography and videography skills a plus.RequirementsMatric, with a relevant tertiary qualification in visual communication design, graphic design, or equivalent.A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
