Responsibilities include all central SAP systems, the central U of T Student System (ROSI), and various related applications.Your opportunity:Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Technical Services & Architecture, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering transformational technology solutions to the University. Your experience in IT Architecture and Microservices Architecture will enable you to lead technical teams and stakeholders in designing and implementing a modern Azure Cloud-based hybrid Student Information System.Your responsibilities will include:Developing and updating architectural framework for complex university-wide IT systems.Analyzing business and operational requirements for new IT systems.Providing consultative advice on IT issues.Liaising with stakeholders to support initiatives.Planning and implementing components of IT-related projects.Advising on cost, feasibility, and impact of implementation solutions.Serving as a resource on specific issues to a group of specialists.Essential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience.Eight or more years of experience architecting custom-built software applications.Five or more years designing and implementing APIs and Microservices.Experience with Domain Driven Design and Model Driven Design.Understanding of security principles in Microservices Architecture.Experience leading and coaching technical teams.Familiarity with different types of databases, including NoSQL.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrable architecture methodology skill.Proficient with Azure Cloud services.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to shifting priorities.Agile with ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.Assets (Nonessential):Ability to work with minimal supervision.Knowledge of Functional Programming using packages such as Ramda.js or lodash.js.Experience using OData.Experience with recent versions of Angular.To be successful in this role you will be:Motivated self-learner.Organized.Proactive.Responsible.Closing Date: 10/07/2024, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - ContinuingSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 18 -- $114,486 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $146,408.Job Category: Information Technology (IT)Recruiter: Khristen SivaramalingamLived Experience Statement: Candidates who are members of Indigenous, Black, racialized and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, persons with disabilities, and other equity deserving groups are encouraged to apply.Diversity StatementThe University of Toronto embraces Diversity and is building a culture of belonging that increases our capacity to effectively address and serve the interests of our global community.Accessibility StatementThe University strives to be an equitable and inclusive community, committed to the principles of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
