PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To safely and accurately coordinate the DC Chrome process, tapping and casting bay activities.
SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
CUSTOMERS
Ensure Customer Satisfaction as specified
BUSINESS PROCESSES
Coordinate production activities
Assist Production Supervisor on shift
Assist with tapping and overhead crane activities
Monitor and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
Analyse and Interpret Production Process Data
Make suitable recommendations to ensure process stability
Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and incident investigations
Implement RCFA findings
Assist with First Line Maintenance tasks
Participate in Process trials
Work as a project team member
Assist in developing Process training materials
Report process data and statistics
Achieve Continuous Improvement cost saving initiatives
Be prepared to work in a dusty environment
Work overtime as and when required
Assist with any other related tasks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
N6 certificate for external candidates
N3 qualification will be considered for internal candidates only
3 years relevant experience gained in a heavy industrial production environment
Computer literacy
