Metallurgist

Job Title: Metallurgist - Mining Industry

Location: Northern Cape

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join their mining operation in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, with specific experience in the mining industry.

Responsibilities:
Conduct metallurgical tests and analysis to optimize plant performance
Implement and monitor metallurgical processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
Develop and improve processes to enhance recovery rates and productivity
Monitor and analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize processes
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgy in the mining industry
2 years' experience in a senior management work environment.
Floatation experience and knowledge
Experience with mineral processing techniques and equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
