Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Assist operations personnel to implement agreed guidelines, rules.Provide/liaise with external resources to conduct agreed plant surveys/audit processes.Recommend technical corrective action to operation's production personnel.Monitor, Trend, Interpret, and Report plant Key Process Parameters for discussion with central technical structure.SHE SLA.Monitor, Trend, Interpret and Report Key Process Parameters.Identify ongoing potential areas for plant process improvement.Identify key performance shortfalls and liaise/communicate with central technical function.Troubleshoot and resolve operation problems within plant.Ongoing support to plant production team to achieve operational goals.Facilitate technology transfer from centre.Project execution of agreed audit work & plant surveys (plant diagnostics).Provide detailed analyses of process control/plant performance relationships.Process improvement initiatives.Plant optimization within recipe.Identify ongoing capital requirements for plants.SHE Programs.Effective technical operation of the plant.Identifying new methods to improve the section's technical process.Good employee relations.Administration of the relevant technical systems.Support the overall operational management of the plant.This role is at a GBF 6 level reporting to the Manager Technical Processing. QualificationsMetallurgy, Chemical Engineering or chemistry degree/diploma.Specialization in refractories or pyrometallurgy would be advantageous.Experience 5 years or more post qualification Plant experience in metallurgy development projects and line management.Technical knowledge (experience) required for role: Computer literacy for the role.English literate.Refractory installation and demolition theory and practice.Quality control and Quality assurance on refractory supply and installation.Refractory selection and theory.Valid driving license code 08.Additional InformationWho We Are
