Job Title: MICE Project Manager (Meetings, Conferences & Events) Location: Hybrid (Office-based in Parktown, Gauteng) Salary: R 360,000 per annum CTC This travel company is an industry leader in South Africa.

Job Summary: The MICE Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, and incentive programs.
This role requires a professional with strong organizational abilities, extensive experience in MICE logistics, and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional client experiences while adhering to budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Coordination: Manage the full lifecycle of MICE projects from conception to execution.
Oversee venue selection, transportation, accommodations, catering, and on-site operations.
Align event strategies with client objectives and company goals.
Logistics and Operations: Independently manage logistics for meetings, conferences, and events.
Create detailed project timelines, budgets, and contracts.
Ensure seamless event execution through meticulous preparation and oversight.
Budget and Financial Management: Track and control event expenses to stay within budget.
Handle pricing, invoicing, supplier payments, and financial reporting.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
Client and Vendor Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Communicate effectively to ensure client satisfaction and goal alignment.
Resolve any service issues with vendors and escalate when necessary.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all events comply with company policies and client guidelines.
Manage and maintain accurate data in project management systems like Qondor/AGM.
Prepare post-event reports, evaluations, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements: Education: Matric and a Diploma in Travel and Tourism or a relevant qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a MICE/travel environment, with at least 3 years in a MICE-specific role managing logistics.
Proven track record in meetings, events, and conferencing.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and project management tools.
Other: Own car and valid drivers license.
Key Competencies: Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in event planning and execution.
Client Focus: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Proactive in addressing challenges and delivering solutions.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of trends, regulations, and best practices in the MICE industry.
