Job DescriptionArea of Work - Sunninghill LaboratoryTo conduct routine and urgent testing of specimens in a Pathology Laboratory; perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and quality control on laboratory equipment and analysers.Key Responsibilities:Conduct routine and urgent testing within the laboratory to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting of results.Perform tasks relating to audits.Perform administrative duties to ensure effective maintenance of the laboratory's administrative systems.Perform maintenance procedures, calibrations, and quality control procedures relevant to Clinical Pathology Laboratory.Assist in training laboratory staff; participate in continuous professional development (CPD).Maintain good customer relations and promote the image of Neuberg Global Laboratory.Requirements:National Diploma/BTECH in Biomedical Technology (Clinical Pathology).Current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology).Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation, test procedures, and methodologies.Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and quality control; understanding and implementation of ISO15189 requirements.Basic computer skills (MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel).Excellent communication skills.Basic administrative skills.Knowledge and understanding of OHSA (health and safety in a clinical laboratory).Minimum 3 years of working experience within a Clinical Pathology environment.Able to work independently.Able to work safely in a laboratory by maintaining proper housekeeping and using PPE.Willing to work shift duties, weekend work, and public holidays.Attention to detail.Job Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required).Application Question(s):Registered with HPCSA and valid?
