RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
Daily Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, ensuring that the practice runs smoothly.Compliance: Ensuring that the practice complies with South African healthcare regulations, including the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Department of Health guidelines.Facility Management: Managing the maintenance of the clinic's infrastructure, equipment, and facilities.
Financial Management
Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Preparing and managing the practice's budget, tracking expenses, and producing financial reports.Billing and Coding: Overseeing the billing processes, medical coding, and claims submissions to medical aid schemes.Payments: Managing patient payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that the practice maintains a good cash flow.
Human Resource Management
Staff Management: Hiring, training, and managing staff, including doctors, nurses, receptionists, and other healthcare professionals.Scheduling: Managing staff and physician schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for patient appointments and clinic hours.Performance Management: Conducting performance evaluations, addressing staff grievances, and ensuring the team adheres to practice policies.
Patient Relations and Customer Service
Patient Experience: Ensuring a high standard of patient care and handling patient complaints, feedback, and queries.Appointment Management: Overseeing the scheduling system for patient appointments to optimize workflow and minimize wait times.Confidentiality: Ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient records in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Information and Technology Management
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Managing the implementation and operation of electronic health record systems and other practice management software.Data Security: Ensuring compliance with data security measures to protect sensitive patient information.
Inventory and Supplies
Stock Management: Ordering and managing medical supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring the practice is always stocked with necessary items.
Vendor Relations
Managing relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing.
Strategic Planning and Growth
Business Development: Developing strategies for growth, expanding services, and improving practice efficiency.Marketing: Overseeing marketing initiatives to attract new patients and retain existing ones, including managing the practice's online presence.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12Tertiary qualification in medical, nursing, business or administration (an added advantage).Experience working in a similar roleHave an interest in integrative medicine or functional medicine.
REMUNERATION
R20,000 Per Month
